A dire need for repositioning of our lives


Prolegomenon:
The undue impacts or place of some odorous social misconducts like promiscuity, unwanted pregnancy, abortion, examination malpractice, youth revolt, gangsterism, cultism and many more others in teaching and learning in teacher’s education have been the central disturbing deliberations of most erudite scholars down the progressively intellectually decaying centuries. As such, this has constituted an obvious earthquake, and in a greater degree-a sort of tsunami which has, and is already engulfing us all alive. This rather predicted maladies have foundationally shaken and surcharged our nation’s teaching and learning domains. In addition, sexual promiscuity, cultism and examinations have turned out to gain much disciples than ever. With this on increase, the system of teaching and learning has degraded to such a level that it calls for intellectual redemption and salvation since the ‘sacraments’ holding them together have fallen apart. This engenders a dangerous deceleration in the growth of science and technology which will/may eventually crash-land us into lack of development founded on intellectual bankruptcy. Moreover, t
eaching and learning has been for long, undisputable paths to betterment in all its ramification. Due to this, a scientific exposition of the place of some social misconducts like: promiscuity, unwanted pregnancy, abortion, examination malpractice, youth revolt, gangsterism, cultism, indecent dressing, delinquency at checkpoints, rudeness in handshake and reading novels in teaching and learning in teacher’s education will constitute the crux of this work. But before then, the need for clarification of the key terms used is quite apt.
Explication of Terms:
The word education comes from the 15th century Latin infinitive, educare meaning ‘to lead forth.’ However, according to A.S. Hornby, to educate implies “to teach somebody about something or how to do something.” It refers to all the processes involved in developing “mentally, morally, or aesthetically especially by instruction.” Thus, education as used in this paper, can be said to be “the process of teaching, training, and learning, especially in schools and colleges, to improve knowledge and develop skills.” For Cary, it is aimed in its best days at the training of the whole man.
Furthermore, the term teaching in a way refers to an act. It could be “something that is taught, especially guidance or doctrine.” From this, one can get that to teach suggests giving knowledge to someone; to instruct someone in a skill or help him or her to learn; to make someone to learn or understand, especially by example, experience or punishment. Besides this, the word learn in this work, simply entails “to gain knowledge or skill by studying, from experience, from being taught, etc.” Having done this, it is worthy point out that it is in the context of these clarification that this paper dwells. Let us immediately, then, proceed to the major interest of this essay.
The Place of Some Social Misconducts in Teaching and Learning in Teacher’s Education: An Exposé
Due to the nature of our task, it is basic at this point, to x-ray the place or the impacts of some social problems taken one after the other, and as they relate to teaching and learning in teacher’s education.

3.1. Promiscuity, Unwanted Pregnancy and Abortion:
The above misconducts seem to be highly related in a scale resembling ‘a chained reaction’ as the chemists would put it. They are so related because they share certain similarities. Promiscuity is the miscellaneous mingling or selection of persons or things. It could be used in terms of human sexuality. In this case, it is sexual promiscuity. Sexual promiscuity in learning and teaching is a serious vice that calls for serious concern. This may arise from the quest for freedom among the students.
