Kaosisochukwu Is One!

Such days as this reminds me of those very wonderful days of yore, 'in deibus eius' when we had birthday celebrations. It was always a wonderful, scintillating experience

Today, it was the turn of Kosi, a wonderfully and fearfully made child. Today it clocks exactly one year of his birth.

The large turn out surmarised  the goodwill of people to both Kosi and his parents. It was simply wonderful.

The party kick-started around 2pm with an opening prayer said by one of the kids. I was moved at his prayers. He started with a hymn I praise and thanksgiving to God. He prayed for the success of the event, for good life, long life and prosperity on the celebrant, for God's blessings on everyone who was present and finally he concluded with the grace.

I was moved that in this era when people tend to forget the importance and the place of prayer in the life of a Christian, this little boy was able to present, unprepared, a wonderful prayer. Kudos must be given to the parents for a work well done.

The choir was on hand and gave a wonderful rendition. They were in a word, marvelous!

It was then, food time.... Your guess is as good as mine.

Happy Birthday Kosisochukwu!!!

When Reminiscences Comes To The Fore

An 24 hour visit to a dearly friend was what it took to bring to fore, reminiscences of the forgotten or partly faded past. It was a union although late in it's actualisation, but never in it's advantages.

My Real Guy; Your Birthday, Our Happiness

I, freely waited for such time as this to make my own contribution to this epoch day, the Birthday of an intellectual guru, a sagacious sage, a man of timber and caliber, a loquacious and audacious gentleman- Chima Joseph Nwagwu!

Today, I recount how I came to be privileged to know him. It's a divine arrangement! He was just himself, simple, refined, always studious. I usually saw him in the orchard studying after lectures. That was him! He has a balanced personality, in spirituality, sports, and other works of life.

I came to know him more through my very good brother, Owelle CJ Banky. It was like the completion of a trinitarian Union.

Chima would always rationally demonstrate his indept knowledge of reality. I'm honoured to be a party to this historic day.

As you celebrated your birthday today, I wish you the best of lucks in this life, happiness and fulfilment, success and joy. Amen

Happy Birthday, Buddy!!!

"I Belong To Everybody and I Belong To Nobody"

The above was the words of the incumbent and new President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari in his inaugural speech.

The contents of this inaugural speech was anything but non-wonderful! It was superb, excellent, articulative and well rendered. It captioned the very troubling and grey areas of the yelling of Nigerians. I commend his backroom staff for the speech. It was well written.

I, for one, am not a fan of Buhari, bit as my President, I owe him respect and cooperation. I waited for 24 hours in order to air my view on yesterday's proceedings. The peaceful handover was historic.

Goodluck Ebere Jonathan must be commended for his Statesmanship. I do not personally think that I can do that which he did. His presence at the venue and his symbolic transfer of power was the highpoint of my admiration for him. Even Buhari was overwhelmed as he poured encomiums on the President in his speech.

At the inaugural gala, I was somehow disappointed. The APC said the country was in shambles and the economy was sick, but they accepted the gala and ate and drank....even as the economy was still sick!

But, I'm hopeful that the meal was to get themselves energized for the task ahead. I just hope so.

The presence of Obasanjo was very much expected, and the referral to him by Dickson was expected, even when we all know what is true. I hope to see how his romance with APC shall end. That is story for another day!

The first act of office was relocation of Army Headquarters. It's a step in the right direction. I hope it yields the desired result.

I must stop here due to lack of space. But I'll not end without wishing the new President and his team a successful tenure.

God bless Nigeria!!!
